SAN JOSE, Calif., July 17, 2000 -- High-bandwidth network IC developer Allayer Communications announced today that Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI) has registered Allayer as compliant with the International Standard ISO 9002.

According to Greg Swan, president of BVQI, "We were pleased to inform Allayer that their Quality Management System was registered as compliant with the requirements of the 1994 version of the international standard ISO 9002. Allayer joins an elite group of companies in North America registered as compliant with ISO Standards."

We are extremely proud that an independent testing and certification organization such as BVQI has tested us and found us worthy of registration."

The achievement was a direct result of the entire organization working together in effectively developing and maintaining the Quality System in order to be registered.

The Certificate of Approval, Number 68094, awarded to Allayer by BVQI states, "BVQI, Inc. certifies that the Management System of Allayer Communications has been audited and found to be in accordance with the requirements of the standards of ISO 9002, ANSI/ISO/ASQ Q9002 and the scope of 'Sales and Distribution of Network Switches'."
